«Le-lieu» is a platform for contemporary arts practice with a focus on site-specific work. As such, project proposals relevant to the space and history of the building are of particular interest. The semi-public areas of Palais Bleu provide a starting point for interventions, installations and performances.

«Le-lieu» is neither a white cube nor a black box. Interior and exterior rooms can become exhibiting spaces and this flexible structure enable a versatile approach to project realisation and the presentation of work.

«Le-lieu» extends an invitation for proposals to artists, art historians and curators from Switzerland and its neighbouring countries. Artists and art theoreticians alike stand at the centre of contemporary art practice and its reception in the wider community. Both regional and national standpoints will be examined and through the specific conditions dictated by the space, these positions will win a new context. The work – or project presentation will be celebrated on a Sunday with soup and wine.
